Georgetown University hosted the first annual Summer Session of the Center for Neuroengineering this past June through the kind generosity of Nicholas (MS’87, M’91) and Effie Theodore. Entitled “Neuroengineering: Bridging Neuroscience and Engineering”, it featured distinguished speakers from Georgetown University, Technical University of Munich, National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins University, University of California San Francisco (UCSF), and the University of Maryland. Students and postdocs with an interest in topics overlapping Neuroscience and Engineering were invited to Washington, DC and the Georgetown campus from June 19th to 23rd to listen to speakers, present at a poster session and get to know others in their field at several social gatherings.
Next year’s Summer Session will be held in Munich, Germany from June 17th to June 21st. We hope you’ll join us!
